A Bel-Air neighborhood was covered in mud Saturday morning and an investigation was underway to determine what caused the sludge.

The flow was reported around 8 p.m. Friday along Ashdale and Thurston avenues. Video from the scene showed streets and the backyards of several homes in the area covered in mud.

It was not clear what caused the flow, but the Los Angeles Fire Department told ABC7 it responded to a report of a problem with a pool on Ashdale Place.
