Two people were taken to an area hospital in unknown condition from a fire Sunday in one room on the second floor of a two-story home in Porter Ranch.
The 26 firefighters dispatched at 8:11 a.m. to 11162 N. Viking Way had the blaze out within 17 minutes of their arrival, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There was no extension into the attic, Stewart said. It was not immediately known if the two people were injured during the fire or while trying to get away from the fire.
A cause of the fire was under investigation.
