A man was killed Monday in a fatal solo vehicle crash in Acton, authorities said.
The accident, which occurred near Forest View and Peakland roads, was reported to the California Highway Patrol at 12:15 a.m., said CHP officer Dion Conley. The location is along the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
The man, who was in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:31 a.m., according to the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office. His identity was not immediately released, pending family notification.
Paramedics took one patient to a trauma center, L.A. County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pitman said. That patient, a passenger, was expected to survive, McCracken said.
