A big rig veered to the right side of the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway in Glendale Saturday morning, struck a guard rail and went about 60 feet down an embankment.

The crash occurred near the Lowell Avenue exit about 1:25 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

Debris from the crash was spread across at least two lanes of the freeway and at least one vehicle struck the debris and sustained major front end damage, the CHP said.

No injuries were immediately reported.

The accident prompted the closure of the Nos. 3 and 4 eastbound lanes of the freeway at Lowell Avenue until further notice.
