Fire tore through the garage of a two-story town house in Chatsworth Wednesday morning and burned for 17 minutes before being extinguished.
Firefighters responded to a 911 call in the 21200 block of Lassen Street, west of DeSoto Avenue, at 2:52 a.m. and found the garage well-involved with fire, according to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
A total of 45 firefighters battled the flames and a knockdown was called at 3:09 a.m., she said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
