A man was struck and killed Sunday morning while running in lanes of the Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway in Willowbrook.
It happened on the westbound side of the freeway west of Wilmington Avenue, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson.
Witnesses reported at 3:46 a.m. that the man, wearing a black T-shirt, was running back and forth in lanes and was jumping in front of vehicles as if trying to be hit, Nicholson said.
The witnesses said vehicles were swerving to avoid him.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for all westbound lanes. The HOV and fast lanes were reopened at 5:33 a.m. but lanes 2 and 3 remained closed.
