A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Monday on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway in the Arleta area.
The fatal injury was reported at 5 a.m. at the Terra Bella Street onramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Multiple lanes of the southbound 5 Freeway were closed in the area while an investigation was conducted.
