Firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a brush fire that charred about one acre of grass near the Hansen Dam in Pacoima, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire, which burned near 12300 Osborne St. within the Hansen Dam area, was reported at 2:37 p.m., department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.
The department sent 89 firefighters to the scene and stopped the forward progress of the flames, Stewart said.
Firefighters were still trying to get full containment around the fire and remained on the scene to continue the containment process.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
