Firefighters from multiple agencies worked together this evening to knock down a small brush fire in the Hansen Dam Recreation area in Lake View Terrace, which blackened about a quarter-acre of grass.
The brush fire was reported around 5:45 p.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.
Los Angeles firefighters, along with a U.S. Forest Service water tender and an L.A. County Fire Department hand-crew needed just over half an hour to extinguish the flames, Humphrey said.
No injuries were reported and no structures threatened, he said.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
