Firefighters knocked down a vehicle fire Saturday inside an attached garage to a single-story residence in Porter Ranch, before it was able to extend into the home, a fire department spokesperson said.

The 31 firefighters dispatched at 1:03 p.m. to 18350 W. Blackhawk St. had the blaze out within 13 minutes of their arrival, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
