A semi overturned and spilled its load of plywood on the transition road from the westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway to the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, prompting the closure of a stretch of the freeway more than 5 1/2 hours through Wednesday morning’s rush.
The crash was reported at about 4:25 a.m. and plywood was in all lanes, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The transition road was closed until 10:05 a.m. when the wreckage was cleared and the plywood was picked up, the CHP said.
Details of what led up to the crash were not disclosed.
No injuries were reported.
