A half-dozen people were injured Tuesday, one critically, in a three-vehicle crash in the Westlake area.
Firefighters were sent to the 2500 block of West Beverly Boulevard about 10:20 a.m.
A man who was trapped in one of the vehicles was freed by firefighters, and he was taken to a hospital in critical condition, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The other five patients were treated at the scene for minor injuries, and were not taken to a hospital.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
