A man was found dead Saturday, lying in the middle of the Imperial Highway off-ramp to the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway in South Gate.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched at 8:22 a.m., in an initial call to the Imperial Highway on-ramp to the northbound freeway, the CHP reported. The body was later found to be on the off-ramp.
The Imperial Highway off-ramp was closed at about 8:40 a.m.
No further information was immediately released.
