A blaze broke out Wednesday inside a one-story commercial building in downtown Los Angeles that housed a marijuana grow operation, according to fire officials.

Nearly five dozen firefighters were sent at 11:21 to 769 Gladys Ave. and took about a half-hour to put out the flames, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
