Firefighters contained a small brush fire Saturday in Pacoima that scorched about a quarter-acre of grass.
The blaze near 11254 N. San Fernando Road was reported about 6:40 p.m., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Nicholas Prange.
The fire was burning on both sides of the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, Prange said.
A number of firefighters will remain at the scene to put out any hot spots that may flare up, Prange said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
