A man believed about 30-years-old jumped to his death from an overpass onto Harbor (110) Freeway lanes, causing up to three vehicles to crash, authorities said Sunday.
The crash was reported at 11:30 p.m. Saturday on the southbound Harbor Freeway at Wilshire Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
At least some of the vehicles crashed into the center divider, witnesses said.
One person was taken to a hospital with a complaint of pain, Kimball said.
The CHP initially stopped traffic at Stadium Way and a SigAlert was issued at 11:50 p.m. for lanes 1, 2 and 3 just north of Seventh Street.
