Three people were injured Thursday in a fire in an apartment building in the Northridge area.

Nearly 100 firefighters were sent to the 60,000-square-foot, three-story building in the 9800 block of North Reseda Boulevard at 11:44 a.m. and extinguished the blaze in 33 minutes, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Three civilians were evaluated by paramedics for unspecified but non-life-threatening injuries, and one was taken to a hospital, according to the LAFD’s Brian Humphrey.

There was no immediate word on what sparked the fire, which was reported on the top floor of the 53-unit building.
