An off-ramp from the northbound San Gabriel River (605) Freeway in Irwindale will be shut down for three months due to construction, Caltrans announced Tuesday.
The closure of the ramp to westbound Live Oak Avenue will begin Monday while crews start the work as part of a $3.3 million project, according to Caltrans.
“The closure will allow crews to widen the ramp, install a concrete barrier, upgrade pedestrian curb ramps, widen pedestrian sidewalks near the off-ramp, and modify the traffic signal,” Caltrans said.
During the construction, drivers can get off at the Los Angeles Street off-ramp and travel on Rivergrade Road, then turn onto to Live Oak Avenue.
