An air ambulance was requested for a boy who was hit by a vehicle in the unincorporated community of Pine Cove Sunday.
The child was struck at about 2:50 p.m. in the 52500 block of Sylvan Way, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics performed CPR on the boy while the air ambulance was en route, according to a CHP log.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
