Firefighters extinguished an attic fire over a garage at a house in West Hills Sunday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The blaze inside the garage broke out about 3:10 p.m. at 8730 N. Hanna Ave., said fire department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
The department dispatched 36 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in about 16 minutes, Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
