A woman was killed Monday when the car she was driving crashed into a wall in Hacienda Heights.
The crash was reported at 12:40 a.m. at Turnbull Canyon Road and Vallecito Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Adriana Barajas, 24, of Los Angeles died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and the CHP.
According to the CHP, Barajas was driving a 2007 Hyundai Elantra south on Turnbull Canyon Road “in excess of the posted 35 mph speed limit” when the car crashed.
“The California Highway Patrol investigation is ongoing and it is undetermined if alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision,” according to a CHP statement.
