A person was killed when a vehicle — possibly a pickup truck — crashed on the right shoulder of the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in San Dimas Saturday and caught fire.
The crash occurred at about 7:35 a.m. at Via Verde, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics dispatched to the location at 7:35 a.m. rushed no one to any area hospitals, according to a county fire department dispatcher.
The Via Verde on-ramp to the eastbound freeway, shut down at 7:52 a.m., was re-opened at 8:11 a.m., the CHP said. A representative from the Los Angeles County coroner’s office was called to the location at 7:59 a.m.
