Fire ripped through a travel trailer behind a one-story home in Arleta Monday evening and burned for 16 minutes before being extinguished by firefighters.
Crews responded at 10:23 p.m. to the 13600 block of Remington Street, near the intersection of Terra Bella Street and Bartee Avenue, and found the RV well involved in fire, but not threatening the home, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Paramedics evaluated a man who lived in the RV and sustained a minor burn on his hand, but declined further medical treatment, Humphrey said.
A total of 26 firefighters extinguished the flames and a knock down was called at 10:39 p.m., said Humphrey.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
