Firefighters determined a powder found Tuesday at a library in Bellflower, which caused the building to be evacuated, was not hazardous.
The substance was discovered about 11:30 a.m. in the 9900 block of Flower Street, and the building was evacuated as a precaution, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
A hazardous materials teams entered the building and determined the powder was cornstarch, the Los Angeles County Fire Department announced at about 2:35 p.m.
