Firefighters extinguished a late night fire Saturday inside a commercial building in Los Angeles’ Larchmont area.

The stubborn blaze at 5030 Melrose Ave. was reported at 11:15 p.m. according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The flames scorched an attic area of the building combining two separate and vacant areas of the structure, Humphrey said.

The department sent 92 firefighters to the scene and knocked down the flames in about 36 minutes, he said.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
