The Public Safety Commission advises and makes recommendations to the City Council on law enforcement, fire protection and other public safety issues. The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month in the City Council chamber, though additional meetings may be held as required.
“City commissioners play a vital role in advising the City Council on matters that affect all of us who live, work and play in our community,” Mayor Terry Walker said. “Serving as a commissioner is a rewarding way to make a difference in the city.”
The City Council is tentatively scheduled to make the appointments at its Aug. 17 regular meeting.
