A pedestrian struck and killed near the Golden State (5) Freeway in Gorman was publicly identified Wednesday.
Timothy Skobel, 59, was a resident of Squaw Valley, near Lake Tahoe, according to the coroner’s office.
Officers responded at 9:28 p.m. Friday to the 45100 block of Copco Avenue near the freeway, where they found Skobel lying in the street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
