Two men were airlifted to a hospital Saturday evening after their car went off Angeles Crest Highway and rolled about 50 feet down a cliff in the Pearblossom area.

The crash was reported at 6:07 p.m. on the Angeles Crest Highway near the Pacific Crest Trail, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Witnesses told the CHP two men were standing on the side of the roadway with bloody faces.

A sheriff’s air rescue helicopter took them to a hospital for treatment, according to sheriff’s officials.

Images from the scene showed the heavily damaged car on its roof at the bottom of a cliff and paramedics treating the injured men.
