A fire damaged a vacant house in the Vermont Knolls area near south Los Angeles Friday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 100 block of West 84th Street about 1:20 p.m. extinguished the flames in the single-story building in 17 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
