A 60-year-old man died Monday at the side of northbound Chino Valley (71) Freeway in Pomona after apparently suffering a medical problem.
Domingo Adame-Vega stopped his vehicle on the right shoulder near Rio Rancho Road about 8:35 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.
Paramedics pronounced Adame-Vega dead at the scene. Information was not immediately available on the cause of death.
There was no crash, and the freeway remained open in the area, the CHP reported.
