The Pechanga Resort Casino’s monthslong hiring blitz will continue next week, focusing on culinary specialists and featuring on-the-spot offers and sign-on bonuses of up to $2,500.
“This could really prove to be the perfect time to get hired in the culinary field,” Pechanga Vice President of Food & Beverage Pamela Pinto said. “There are a lot of available positions, not as much competition to get a job, and there are very talented chefs who we have on staff ready to help new team members learn and work their way up in the industry, too.”
The recruitment fair will be held between 8 a.m. and noon Wednesday on the second floor of the Pechanga Resort Tower.
Hiring managers are looking for qualifying applicants to serve as line cooks, sous chefs and pastry cooks. The $2,500 sign-on bonuses come with conditions, including a requirement that new workers remain on the job for at least six months.
The resort is additionally continuing its search for cocktail servers, bartenders, lifeguards, room attendants and custodians.
Hiring bonuses for some positions are between $500 and $1,000, officials said.
“The market for good, talented people is still quite competitive, though I always encourage applicants to check out what’s offered at Pechanga Resort Casino because the culture here is really unmatched,” resort Human Resources Director Cary Berner said. “We have a great team, and we are looking for more great team members to launch their careers.”
Officials said jobs come with medical, dental and vision insurance, as well as 401K retirement plans and potential educational reimbursement incentives.
Prospects can upload their resumes ahead of time at pechanga.com/careers. The site also lists and describes available positions.
Similar hiring fairs were held last month, in July and in June.
