Authorities Friday identified a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle on the southbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Hollywood Hills.
Danielle Yates, 32, was injured about 2:15 a.m. Thursday north of Cahuenga Boulevard and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the California Highway Patrol. Her city of residence was not known.
The motorist, whose name was not released, remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, the CHP reported. The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
