A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Pomona Wednesday evening.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics were called to the area of South Dudley Street and West Mission Boulevard at about 8:20 p.m. on reports of the collision, a department official said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Their name was not released pending notification of their next of kin.
The eastbound and westbound lanes of Mission Boulevard between Curran Place and Oak Avenue were closed for an unknown duration as the authorities conducted an investigation into the collision, according to the Pomona Police Department.
