A 62-year-old man is missing and authorities sought the public’s help Tuesday in locating him.
Carlos Ortiz was last seen around 3 p.m. Tuesday at Indian Peak Road and Norris Center Drive in Rolling Hills Estates, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Ortiz is Latino, 5-feet-7 inches tall, weighs 170 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be on foot and was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, a green hat, black shoes and black pants.
Anyone who sees Ortiz or knows anything about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
