A fire damaged a commercial building in the Boyle Heights area Friday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 2500 block of East Whittier Boulevard, near South Soto Street, about 9:40 a.m. extinguished the flames in about 20 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. The building was the site of a previous fire, the LAFD reported.
