A pedestrian was found dead on the roadway in South El Monte Sunday.
The person was found near the intersection of Durfee Avenue and Rosemead Boulevard just before 6 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was unclear if the pedestrian was stuck by a vehicle, the CHP reported.
The person was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
