A multi-vehicle crash in Irwindale Sunday temporarily shut down five lanes, including the carpool lane, on the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway.

The crash happened on the 605 Freeway at Ramona Boulevard about 5:05 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision spread debris across multiple lanes, the CHP reported.

Gas and oil were also spilled in at least one lane and needed to be cleaned up, the CHP reported.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 5:27 p.m., but reopened the number 4 and 5 lanes at 7:50 p.m. All other lanes were cleared and reopened around 9:20 p.m. and the CHP canceled the SigAlert.

There were no available reports of any injuries.
