Eisenhower Health announced Tuesday that Ken Buechele has been hired as its new vice president and chief information officer.

Prior to accepting the new role, Buechele spent 19 years at Bronson Healthcare in Kalamazoo, Michigan, holding various leadership roles including vice president of information technology.

In the role, he provided cyber security, infrastructure and clinical information system services for the institution, experience that is vital in his new role, according to Eisenhower spokesperson Lee Rice.

“We are very excited to welcome Ken, a seasoned professional with years of IT experience in health care,” Eisenhower Health President and CEO Martin Massiello said. “Technology is crucial to providing excellent patient care by not only fostering communication between provider and patients but also improving quality and safety. Ken will be a perfect fit to lead Eisenhower’s experienced and committed information systems team.”

Buechele earned his bachelor of science degree in applied computer science from Illinois State University and an executive master of business administration degree from Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
