Traffic was snarled Monday on the San Diego (405) Freeway near Inglewood because of concerns that a person on an overcrossing was intending to jump.
The southbound 405 Freeway was closed near Florence Avenue/La Cienega Boulevard about 8:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Northbound traffic also was brought to a halt as crews responded, and traffic quickly backed up for miles in both directions.
