No tickets were sold with all six numbers in Tuesday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery, and the estimated jackpot for Friday’s drawing grew to $400 million.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were 27, 31, 50, 51, 61 and the Mega number was 21. The potential jackpot was $370 million.
Two tickets were sold in California with five matching numbers but without the Mega number, each worth $492,603. One was sold at Central Market at 11479 San Fernando Road in San Fernando, and one was sold at a Chevron at 3476 Van Buren Blvd. in Riverside, according to the California Lottery web site.
Tuesday’s drawing was the 23rd since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number are 1 in 302,575,350, according to the California Lottery. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 24.
The Mega Millions game is played in 45 states, the District of Columbia and U.S. Virgin Islands.
