At least one person was killed in a multi-vehicle collision Thursday in Lynwood.
California Highway Patrol officers responded just before 1:15 a.m. to the southbound Long Beach (710) Freeway and Imperial Highway where they found one person in one of the freeway lanes after being ejected from one of the several vehicles at the scene, CHP Officer Patrick Kimball told City News Service.
According to the CHP, witnesses said a black Jeep might have hit the freeway’s center divider and multiple vehicles, including a silver Mini Cooper, and sustained significant damage.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of all lanes of the freeway while the CHP investigated the crash.
