The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Monday for the fourth consecutive day following a run of 15 decreases in 18 days totaling 8.6 cents, increasing seven-tenths of a cent to $4.916.
The average price has risen 2.8 cents over the past four days, including nine-tenths of a cent Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 1.1 cents more than one week ago, but 2.4 cents less than one month ago and $1.373 lower than one year ago.
The average price has dropped $1.578 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5.
A four-day streak of increases to the Orange County average price totaling 3.4 cents ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $4.848, 1.6 cents more than one week ago, but 4.8 cents less than one month ago and $1.352 lower than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped $1.611 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5.
A nine-day streak of decreases to the national average price totaling 4.9 cents ended when it was unchanged, remaining at $3.535. It is 3.8 cents less than one week ago, 2.3 cents lower than one month ago and $1.277 below what it was one year ago.
The national average price has dropped $1.481 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
