Authorities Monday identified a woman whose body was discovered on on-ramp to the northbound Hollywood (101) Freeway in the Chinatown area of Los Angeles over the weekend.
The body was discovered about 2 p.m. Saturday on the Alameda Street/Los Angeles Street on-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
On Monday, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the woman as Monika George Awadalla, 23, who was homeless. Her cause of death was not immediately known.
