The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 4.3 cents Thursday to $5.227 rising for the 17th consecutive day and 20th time in 21 days.
The average price has risen 29.7 cents over the past 21 days, including 2.1 cents Wednesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.
The average price is 15.7 cents more than a week ago, 32.4 cents higher than one month ago and 33.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.267 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the 17th consecutive day and 20th time in 21 days, increasing 4.7 cents to $5.197. It has increased 31.8 cents over the past 21 days, including 2.5 cent Wednesday. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.
The Orange County average price is 16.6 cents more than a week ago, 32.3 cents higher than it was one month ago and 34.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.262 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose 1.8 cents to $3.567 a day after it increased 1.4 cents.
The national average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago, 21.5 cents higher than one month ago and 6 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.449 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
