The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Thursday, remaining at $4.782, one day after rising four-tenths of a cent.

The average price is 1.2 cents less than one week ago, 20.1 cents lower than one month ago and 14 cents below what it was one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.712 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.698 after rising 2.2 cents over the previous two days. It is unchanged from one week ago, 18.6 cents less than one month ago and 16.1 cents lower than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $1.761 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the fourth consecutive day, increasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.515. It has risen 3.4 cents over the past four days, including 1.2 cents Wednesday.

The national average price is 1.2 cents more than one week ago but three-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 1.4 cents lower than one year ago. It has dropped $1.501 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
