The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert Thursday for a 74-year-old man last seen in Watts.
John Carter Jr. was last seen Wednesday near East 101st Street and Clovis Avenue around 7:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
Carter was described as a 5-foot-6 man weighing 160 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue shorts, black Nike slippers, and socks.

The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the suspicious or disappearance of elderly, developmentally disabled, or cognitively impaired individuals.
