A 32-year-old man who was killed in a traffic collision in Lancaster was identified Monday.
Cameron Mikes of Hesperia died in the crash, which occurred around 5:20 a.m. Friday at the intersection of 240th Street East and Avenue O, according to the county Department of Medical Examiner and the California Highway Patrol.
According to the CHP, a 2012 Chrysler was being driven north on 240th Street East, north of Avenue O, while a 2011 Dodge Ram was heading southbound. The Chrysler crossed the center divider for reasons still under investigation and collided head-on with the Ram, according to the CHP.
The driver of the Ram sustained minor injuries and was taken to Antelope Valley Medical Center, while the Chrysler driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the CHP.
