The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent Monday to $4.556, a day after rising one-tenth of a cent.

The average price is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, 2.4 cents lower than one month ago and $1.752 less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.938 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped for the fifth consecutive day, decreasing four-tenths of a cent Monday to $4.481, a day after dropping three-tents of a cent.

It is 2.6 cents less than one week ago, 2.2 cents lower than one month ago and $1.792 less than one year ago. The Orange County average price has dropped $1.978 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $3.216, one day after a decrease of two-tenths of a cent.

It is eight-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, but 13.4 cents less than one month ago and 60.7 cents lower than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.80 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
