The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Wednesday to $4.396, a day after dropping six-tenths of a cent.

The average price has dropped 10 of the past 11 days, decreasing 5.6 cents, including one-tenth of a cent both Sunday and Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It dropped six-tenths of a cent Dec. 1, was unchanged Dec. 2 and resumed decreasing last Tuesday.

The average price is 3.6 cents less than one week ago, 11.2 cents lower than one month ago and 43.3 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $2.098 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped four-tenths of a cent to $4.321, a day after dropping three-tenths of a cent. It has also dropped 10 of the past 11 days, decreasing 5.1 cents, including one-tenth of a cent both Sunday and Monday.

The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent Dec. 1, rose four-tenths of a cent Dec. 2 and resumed decreasing last Tuesday. It is 3.1 cents less than one week ago, 9.3 cents lower than one month ago and 34.4 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price has dropped $2.138 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

It dropped nine-tenths of a cent Nov. 29, rose eight-tenths of a cent Nov. 30 then resumed decreasing Dec. 1.

The national average price rose nine-tenths of a cent to $3.02, a day after dropping seven-tenths of a cent.

It dropped 12 of the past 13 days and comes two days after an 11-day streak of decreases totaling 5.5 cents ended when it remained unchanged. It is 1.3 cents less than one week ago, 6.3 cents lower than one month ago and 13.3 cents below what it was one year ago.

The national average price has dropped $1.996 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
