“Den of Thieves 2: Pantera” opened at the top of the box office this weekend, grossing $15.5 million to lead all films in North America, according to industry estimates released Sunday.

Lionsgate’s sequel to the 2018 action film “Den of Thieves,” which also starred Gerard Butler and 50 Cent, edged out “Mufasa: The Lion King,” which made $13.2 million Friday through Sunday in its fourth week in theaters, Comscore reported.

“Sonic the Hedgehog 3” was third with $11 in its fourth weekend.

The horror film “Nosferatu” was fourth with $6.8 million in its third weekend, followed by “Moana 2” with $6.5 million in its seventh week.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases were “A Complete Unknown” ($5 million), “Wicked” ($5 million), “Babygirl” ($3 million), “Game Changer” ($1.8 million) and “The Last Showgirl” ($1.5 million).
